Hiatus

I will be taking a break from AMDC for a bit. Call it a sabbatical. A lot has landed on my plate recently and I will need to devote my time to these new endeavors. I would love to see AMDC continue rocking while I'm 'away', so if any of you would like to take lead on this for a while, I'd be happy to hand over the reins. Otherwise I'm afraid the AMDC experience will be going on hiatus as well. Let me know if any of you have any interest in keeping this going. Otherwise, thanks for your participation thusfar, and we'll see you when I'm ready again!

This challenge, courtesy of Matt, is another "everyone designs the same thing" type of challenge. Which I agree, is a fun way to see different interpretations of the same assignment.

So, this round, we're going to design a grape soda bottle. No cans. No 6-packs. One bottle, One label, and a whole lot of sloshy grape goodness.

EDIT: We're going to extend this one a bit... I've been busy moving and visiting Vegas and other such excuses... I'll try to post next Monday. Send me some entries by then!

Challenge #13: Make a Difference

For this round, let's do a PSA. Pick a real-life issue and raise public awareness about it. Show it in use; slap it on a bus stop, billboard, etc. Also, if you like, let's submit the design to an appropriate business/non-profit and share the response we get. Let's just go a week and a half on this one. Submit a design to me by September 1st. Some possible new players this round, so let's all pitch in and have a big turnout. Make a difference, you crazy-ass designers!

Reduce, reuse, recycle, and all that. Design a layout or illustration based on the theme of sustainability, green-living, ecology, environmentalism, etc. Topic is up to you. But now here's the catch... no computers. Layout/illustration/design must be done with hand tools or clippings. Ha! Yes, you'll need the computer to scan your layout, I know.
